Morph help
How to put the 3D builder on your store, and straight answers about what it changes and what it costs.

Set up in four steps
Everything happens inside Morph until the last step, and shoppers see nothing until you save.
Add a 3D model
Upload a .GLB file, make one from a product photo, or ask 8th Origin to model it.
In Morph: Customizer, then pick the product.
Choose what shoppers change
A color for one part, their own text, their logo, or a ready-made look. Extras can carry a price.
In Morph: Add a customization option.
Match your variants
Point each color at the variant it sells as, so the cart gets the right one at its real price.
In Morph: the option's Edit button.
Put it on your product page
One button opens your theme editor with the Morph section already added. Look it over, then press Save.
In Morph: Show it on your product page.
Questions
What store owners ask us most.
Will Morph change my live store?
Not until you say so. Morph is a section you add in your theme editor, and shoppers see nothing until you press Save there. To take it down, hide or remove the section in the same place. Morph doesn't edit your products, prices or orders.
What does Morph ask to access, and why?
Products, to show each product's options and photos in the builder and to add the hidden Customization product that charges for extras. Orders, to match each new order to the exact build the shopper made. Files, to keep your 3D models and a picture of each build in your store's Files. Shopify's checkout rules, so a product you set to 3D only can't be bought without its build, and extras are charged at the price shown. Morph never changes your orders and never messages your customers.
Which themes does it work with?
Any theme that lets you add app sections in the theme editor. We test on Shopify's Horizon and Dawn themes. If it doesn't look right on yours, email us a link and we'll get it showing correctly.
Do I need a 3D model?
No. Upload one if you have it, or make one inside Morph from a single product photo in 2 to 4 minutes. On a paid plan, 8th Origin will also model one simple product for you, free.
What 3D files can I upload?
.GLB files up to 50 MB. Shoppers can recolor each separate, named part of the model. The 3D model check page in Morph tells you what a file is missing before you use it.
Does the cart get exactly what the shopper built?
Yes. Each choice can be tied to one of your variants, so the cart gets that variant at its real price. Extras are charged at the price the shopper saw, and the order lists every choice they made.
Why is there a product called "Customization" in my store?
If your store isn't on Shopify Plus and you charge for extras, Morph adds them to the cart as their own line, using one hidden product called Customization. Shoppers can't find it in your store. Leave it in place while you use Morph.
Can shoppers add their own name or logo?
Yes. Add a text or logo choice, set where it goes on the model, and charge for it if you like. Shoppers see the price before they type or upload anything.
Does it work on phones? What about AR?
Shoppers can build on a phone the same way as on a computer. On Android phones they can also place the product in their own room with AR.
Can it show in other languages?
Yes. Option names and choices can be translated for each language your store sells in.
What does it cost?
The first 7 days are free, with 1 photo-to-3D model, and nothing to approve. After that, Starter is $29 a month and Professional is $49 a month, billed by Shopify every 30 days. Starter includes 3 photo-to-3D models a month, Professional includes 10 photo-to-3D models a month. The free 7 days never turn into a paid plan on their own.
How do I change or cancel my plan?
Open Plans in Morph to switch plans. Uninstalling Morph cancels your plan, and Shopify stops billing for it.
What happens if I uninstall?
Shopify removes the Morph section from your theme. Your products, prices and orders stay as they are. Files you uploaded stay in your store's Files, and the hidden Customization product stays until you delete it.
Still stuck?
Send us your store link and what you're seeing. We'll get Morph working on your theme.
